Kevin & Val Go To...See Gorillaz Live Twice in Three Days

Aka, why we were so tired on Monday morning. Continuing our not-so-popular series of videos showcasing us seeing a band live twice in 3 days (link to Bad Religion below), here's Gorillaz. Sometimes being near Los Angeles means multiple chances to see a band, and sometimes being a regular at a local joint will result in scoring tickets to a sold-out show. Here we go!

The LA show: Star-studded, sold-out, great setlist.

The YT show: Sold-out, great setlist, amazing sound, and we had great non-floor seats.

Our midweek weekend in Paso Robles: Wineries, Spoon + Interpol, Pea Soup Andersons, and more!

Ok, so our planned vacation in August was derailed by the plague (specifically me getting it). To help offset that, Val planned a midweek weekend in Paso Robles, California. She found the Interpol + Spoon concert, the hotel, and the wineries. All I had to do was drive us there and back. Done! Enjoy some disjointed vignettes including a look at the Pea Soup Andersons coffee shop, which may or may not be living on borrowed time in Buellton, California. It's a bit of a long one. Pour a glass of wine and enjoy!

Our July 2022 Kings Island weekend

From the moment we left Kings Island in 2021, I was angling for a return. The fact that they were celebrating 50 years only added to my desire to return. And so here we are at the end of July 2022, taking a red-eye from LA to Cincinnati just for Kings Island. No regrets, this was a great weekend. We rode so many coasters on repeat and caught up on our Kings Island history. I feel a kinship to this park because it reminds me so much of what Magic Mountain was, and what it could have been. Kings Island, we love you. Please keep on doing what you do. See you again soon. Enjoy!
