Magic Mountain Mondays #8: Freefall

State of the art drop-ride technology, circa-1983. I was a fan, but it was rough. And it had an operator panel that resembled the section 7-G nuclear power plant control panel from The Simpsons.

In August of 1995, I took a bunch of photos (on film no less) at Six Flags Magic Mountain using an inexpensive camera. I was working as an Operations supervisor at the time, and the purpose of the project was to create a slide show for an employee appreciation party for our Operations staff. I’ve carted these slides around for over 25 years and I finally had them digitally transferred this year. About 2/3s of them aren’t available for posting because they are crew pictures and I have no way to request permission to post them. But I do have 50+ available that are just various shots of the park. Enjoy this time capsule from August 1995.

Hashtag Decades

Just an old punk, watching Bad Religion play to an empty Roxy, hoping to see them live again soon. #decades

Magic Mountain Mondays #7: Jet Stream

An integral part of the Jet Stream experience (especially if you are working there) is the loading station turntable. If only I had a FitBit at the time. Oh and fun game when it’s winter and no one wants to ride: re-arrange the boats in numerical order or group them by color.

Our June 2021 WDW Trip, Part 1! Kilimanjaro Safaris, trails, Nomad Lounge and more!

Part one of our June 2021 WDW trip. We spent the first half of our first day at Disney's Animal Kingdom - opening at Kilimanjaro Safaris, then some walking around the various animal trails. From there we opened Nomad Lounge and then headed for Expedition Everest before calling it a day and going back to our hotel form some quality pool (bar) time. Here...we...go!

Finish with a shower

Somehow we only had sun and humidity for our entire June WDW trip until the last day when a thunderstorm rolled in. No complaints.
