In support of Black Lives Matter

My friend Jen is a very talented designer. She channels her powers for good, and a few weeks ago designed a number of t-shirts for sale in her Cotton Bureau shop in an effort to donate to the Black Lives Matter movement. All of the proceeds from the Black Lives Matter shirts go to Black Lives Matter (oh and there are several other designs as well).

I was more than happy to make a couple of purchases myself. And while I wasn’t sure how to best support the Black Lives Matter movement personally, at least in our current pandemic era, I could put my money where my dammed mouth was. Everything is hitting like a ton of bricks. I want to pledge my support, and I want to feel it.

I’m matching Jen’s fundraising sales dollar for dollar, up to $1000. If we can get Jen to $1000 in sales, I match it. I hope some of you will consider buying a shirt and spending my money by doing so.

Make me pay. Make it count. Make it matter.

we arrived about 2 years early

I recognize the last few years have seemed difficult, sometimes bordering on impossible (or unbelievable). But in the last week, it seems like we’ve actually reached Year Zero. We’re just a couple years ahead of schedule.

This record began as an experiment with noise on a laptop in a bus on tour somewhere. That sound led to a daydream about the end of the world. That daydream stuck with me and over time revealed itself to be much more...it takes place about fifteen years in the future. Things are not good. If you imagine a world where greed and power continue to run their likely course, you’ll have an idea of the backdrop. The world has reached the breaking point – politically, spiritually and ecologically. Written from various perspectives of people in this world, Year Zero examines various viewpoints set against an impending moment of truth.

Nanocoasters Volume #2 - SheiKra

Nanocoaster version of SheiKra, a B&M Dive Coaster located at Busch Gardens Tampa. I loved this ride. It’s the first dive coaster I’d been on and it lived up to my expectations. It’s a short ride, but it doesn’t need to be that long. It’s all about that 90 degree first drop. Photos and video from December 2018.
