Post-race pool Mai-Tai

To go with some pool (recovery) time following the Wine & Dine 10k, I ordered the Mai-Tai from the Dolphin pool bar. While the balance was off, it had the right roots. Fresh lime juice, orgeat, curaçao, and Trader Vic’s dark rum. Wouldn’t be my rum choice, but it’s at least consistent with what corporate Vic’s sells. I’ve had worse cocktails sold under the “Mai-Tai” banner.

2019 Disney Wine & Dine 5k: done

No drenching thunderstorms, even. This one was done on about 2.5 hours of sleep due to attending the Halloween party at the Magic Kingdom the night before. The 5k was promptly followed by a 3 hour “nap”.

Epcot Food & Wine Festival 2019, First Visit

Started sampling some of the offerings at the 2019 Epcot Food & Wine Festival earlier today. The festival has grown so much in the last 25 years. On the weekend it’s almost unmanageable come afternoon. My first thoughts after today’s tastings: no clunkers and the price to portion size seems real reasonable on food (not so much with wine samples). Highlights today were Flavors from Fire, The Alps, Germany, and Japan.
