For Tiki Oasis 19.
The Stage Is Set
Ruiner
People wonder why I’m no longer posting to Instagram. Or maybe at this point they don’t. It used to be such a fun place, correcting the mistakes of Flickr in a mobile-first world. Until it wasn’t.

It's Tikiyaki Time
It’s the 10th anniversary of Swingin' Sounds for the Jungle Jetset!, the 2nd album from The Tikiyaki Orchestra. To help commemorate the occasion, Jim Bacchi had the album pressed onto a sweet blue vinyl. Go get yours here.
For my money, there’s no better way to celebrate than by dropping the LP on the ‘ol Hi-Fi while sipping a Shaka Hula Bossa Nova from the Jungle Jetsetter mug.
Ok, well maybe the only better way would be to see them perform the album in full, live at Tiki Oasis 19 (!) on Thursday August 8th in San Diego…
Jason Lee and the R.I.P.tides live at SG101
The 12th annual SG101 surf music convention was this past Saturday, August 6th. As usual it was a stacked line-up (only made it for about 8 of the 12 hours this year). A highlight of my day was a fun, high-energy set from Jason Lee and the R.I.P.tides (as is there way). If you haven’t heard of them yet, go check ‘em out!
